My Africa 2 – a journey through diversity

My Africa 2 - a journey through diversity A journey to Africa, the 5 Women Club Africa as inspiration... Again on African soil,...

Travel to Africa, 5 Women's Club

Africa as inspiration … Again on African soil, but this time, this trip was definitely not like previous trips. This is a journey marked by people so different, yet so easily connected in many segments. I am talking about a trip that was not filled with spectacular views or attractions. Instead, it was a journey of embracing diversity , enjoying nature, silence… Time just for us.

Five women, five incredible women from different professions, different walks of life, different views, different interests. Five women - each with their own story, their own strength and unique energy - found themselves on African soil in a shared adventure . For each of them, Africa brought new insights about themselves as an inspiration .

Opposites attract, differences are respected.

Club of 5 Unique Women - Africa as Inspiration

Elmari

Elmari - my friend who brought this small group together, a soul that carries within itself a depth that cannot simply be reflected on the surface. She is not only one of the world's most famous and influential sexologists , she is a woman who has created a bridge between body and soul, between passion and reason . Her strength is like the foundation of a fortress, but within her is a tenderness that is reflected in her eyes that carefully listen to every story, every sob, every whisper. Elmari is a sensitive soul sensitive to the rhythm, emotions of others, fidgety and free like a bird that flies freely. But at the same time, she carries traces of insecurity as a hidden treasure, reminding us that we are all just people who go through our ups and downs.
She is like a symphony that combines passion and wisdom, body and soul . And secrets with those that nature offers. Nature is her note, and Elmira's presence is like the scent of the first spring flowers that enchants you, leaving an indelible impression .

On the golden African shore where the gentle breeze blows...
Kim

Kim is like a beacon in the world of law. Despite her high position as a judge , she carries within her a gentleness that resembles the soft touch of the light of the first dawn. Her voice is warm and melodious, as if it resonates with the verses of nature, the song of birds and the stories of people. She is a good soul in the truest sense of the word , like a friend who will listen to you in the most difficult moments and provide you with comfort. Kim breathes like nature because she is connected to it on a deeper level, like roots are connected to the soil. She understands the language of animals and people , which makes her an incredible helper and support. Her smile is pure joy - the smile of an optimist who believes in the kindness of people and the power of positive change. She is sensitive to injustice and to people who suffer, which makes her special.
She is not just a judge, but a protector of law and justice, an advocate for the disenfranchised. Kim is a rare gem , radiant and brilliant, bringing light where it is needed.

We grow with special people - both privately and professionally.
Isabel

Isabel is like a delicate flower growing in the midst of a storm. She seems fragile, but she is a true fighter . Her smile is as infectious as a child's playfulness. It reminds us of the joy and wonder in the world. She is warm and kind, ready to provide support and comfort . Her presence is like a ray of sunshine piercing through the clouds.

Africa and friendship as inspiration
Johandi

With her professorial sharpness, she radiates strength and confidence , which gives the impression of a strong and decisive woman. She is not someone who dodges or compromises. She knows what she wants. She moves towards her goals without fear. At first glance, she may seem cold and reserved, but deep within that mathematical formula that gives off the impression of order, lies a passion for life and freedom of expression . Beneath that strict exterior, Johandi feels a rhythm that makes her dance uninhibited and free when no one else is watching.

She is a puzzle waiting to be solved, like a book with many layers, each deeper and more complex than the last. Johandi is a woman who encourages you to think, to challenge yourself .

"Hang On - Let Me Overthink This!"

Still Bay

July in Africa. The temperature was between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius. Still Bay or originally Stilbaai - a beautiful little place on the coast of South Africa. It captivates with its unique beauty, and July, that cold winter season in Africa, made it even more special.
Here in this silence you feel the strength of nature, its untamed power, but also the tenderness that lies in its unimaginable depths.
This is a place where you are centered on your own being, where you can listen to your own thoughts and feelings in the silence that surrounds you. It is a space that reminds you that you are only a small part of the wider world, but at the same time connects you to its fullness and beauty. Here nature shows its strength and tenderness, its cruelty and its incredible ability to fill us with deep peace.

This is a place where every moment becomes special, where you feel alive, where the ocean in its waves hides the power of eternity and the insatiable desire for freedom, where the coast is adorned with jewelry from the sea kingdom , constantly reminding you of the art of nature , where the irresistible sound of the waves carries the story of an eternal journey and enchants with its hypnotic melody.

To watch the sunrise in the ocean - priceless. I enter slowly, my body slowly adjusting to the temperature of 12 degrees. I dive in. I look towards the horizon. The sun gently emerges. The light accentuates the shimmer of the vast water. I become part of the ocean. I feel my being merge with this natural spectacle.

It was a moment when you are connected to the infinite power of nature, when there is no burden. You become free. You are part of something bigger and more “beautiful” than yourself. I come out renewed, inspired, peaceful. This was a deep moment of meditation and connection with nature. African nature. Africa as inspiration.

"Welcome to Stilbaai - a Taste of Eden in the Garden Route!"

Africa as inspiration
Temenos

The small town of Temenos . A healing garden made with a lot of love and enthusiasm. The energy that dances through that vast vegetation connects and honors diversity. The spirit that reigns is acceptance, reflection, healing . Peace. There you simply are . Without I have to, I want to, I would… You just are. You let go. You travel different paths on the journey to that most sacred thing – ME .

For some it's a vacation. For some it's a journey. For some it's a reflection. For some it might even be an effort. Ultimately, that place can tell us a lot about ourselves . Are we really open? Is it easy? It's not! But it's developmental.

On a journey to yourself

Egypt - Cairo

Speaking of development, the story or journey flows in the direction of Egypt, more precisely, to Cairo, to my wonderful friend who works there. I'll talk about her a little later, she's the icing on the cake - the cherry (quince) on top.

Cairo ‒ we pass through parts that I cannot say belong to fairy tales or picturesque, but are an integral part of this huge and complex metropolis. Crowds, dust and unusual sights, exposure to many differences that I wasn't sure how to accept.
The visit to the pyramids , which should have been the highlight of the trip, although very impressive, did not touch me deeply. I felt a sense of respect for these ancient wonders, but they did not become my story . Here, the past and the present create a unique experience. I may not have felt the full attraction, but it left me with some unforgettable moments and a deep respect for the rich history and culture.

Rainbow in Africa

I am thinking again about diversity and how uncomfortable it makes us because it forces us to confront different perspectives and values that we do not understand. It can be challenging, but at the same time it offers us an opportunity for growth and understanding. As I write this, I am entering the same turmoil again. And so as not to get too far away, I want to write a few more words about the wonderful woman who is in this story at the end of my journey to Africa, but not of my life's journey.

Business cooperation gave birth to a wonderful friendship, Dalia Katavić and Dunja Perković
Quince

Quince , like a fruit tree, so much beauty at first glance in a hard fruit tree. The one in which everything whispers quietly, where in the epicenter of pain sleeps the one who loves. The one who stands on her own two feet. A furrow ‒ too deep for some. A soul that loves its space and a meter of its silence. Discipline, strength, inspiration, motivation ‒ are its hands on the clock. Dreams, goals, desires, presence ‒ are its compass .
I love quince and all its variations - jam, marmalade, and marmalade.
Because of her, I learn, accept, and mature. My work takes on another dimension. I feel endless gratitude for having her in my life.

Journey through diversity - Africa as inspiration

This was a journey through diversity ‒ growth and discovery of the beauty of nature and the human soul . Diversity is like a magical fabric that weaves together our world. It is an inspiration that extends into our daily lives, encouraging us to be better people both personally and in business.

This text is just a small reminder of how invaluable and inspiring the journey through the different is. With some indescribable ease, I am already starting new creations. My hands are light while my soul sings.

You can see some of these creations inspired by magical Africa and my wonderful friends in my gallery or by visiting my blog .
Until the next meeting, look for inspiration in nature and wonderful people around you!
